From saved interests
to useful decisions.
Exploring a personal memory and planning assistant, with food and travel as possible first use cases.
The problem hypothesis
Useful ideas are scattered across social posts, maps and notes. Saving something does not always make it easy to find and act on later.
The product direction
Help people capture an interest, retrieve it in context and turn it into an actionable recommendation. A travel scenario could use stated preferences to compare suitable packages and help someone decide.
My contribution so far
I have explored the concept, considered the initial food and travel scope, and questioned how the idea could support a sustainable business model.
Priorities to test
Start by testing whether people can retrieve useful saved information and turn it into a decision. A working capture-and-retrieval experience would need validation before broader planning or booking capabilities.
Commercial hypotheses
Subscription features and booking commissions are options under consideration. Willingness to pay, recommendation quality and repeat usage still need to be tested.
Proposed measures
- Successful retrieval of a previously saved interest.
- Time taken to reach a useful shortlist.
- Recommendation usefulness and repeat usage.
